Take An Interest.

Every parent strives to get to know their children’s interests.

From learning to sing kiddy nursery rhymes, to playing the sports their kids love, to screaming your guts out on a rollercoaster, to joining Facebook and Twitter.. there’s not much a parent wouldn’t do to stay close at heart with his kid.

So, it wasn’t unusual to find the hubby and our boy bent over his laptop. I wondered what fascinating stuff they were doing together.

A shift of position and I found out that our boy was teaching his father to play Starcraft II.

You can tell that the hubby was struggling. I mean, even for me.. the appointed geek in the family.. my understanding of games is limited to Pet Society and Tetris. The hubby has probably never played a game online in his life.

And Starcraft II is possibly one of the most complex games I’ve ever seen.

I have a feeling our boy wants us to learn to play this game.

And I have a feeling I can’t siam this one.

Just shoot aliens, right?

  1. Honestly…
    This version is great…!!!

  2. No worries. just shoot aliens, build building, build soldiers, build aircraft, build tanks, organize the attack, build more, defend. did i mention building? hehehe. ..

  3. dont worry. he was trying to get me into it as well.

  4. I never played any game before I started dating my hubby but it didn’t take me long to join him in any games he played. I might not b a good player(most ladies aren’t) but I think the effort to do so touches my hubby & a pride as all his male frens envy him for having a wife who play games with him. I’m sure your son will feel the same when both his parents join in the fray with him. It all boils down to the things we do for the sake of love & frankly speaking, new experiences do stimulate the brains as well!
