Stepping Forward.

I’ve (finally) changed my header. And it’s now showing Johannesburg’s night view, instead of Auckland’s.

My family and friends have been asking me to change my header for weeks now. Everyone tells me that it’s weird to keep a header picture of New Zealand when I am already in South Africa.

Sure, I’ve been lazy.. but frankly, it’s also a deep down reluctance to let go of that header and move on to a new one. It would be like.. really.. truly closing a chapter in my life and starting a new one.

And as with all new chapters in life, they are always frightening and rarely comfortable.. especially in the beginning.

But as what I always say about life, I have to move forward and embrace what has been laid in my hands.

For the first time since I started writing, I have picked a photo of me looking rather serious instead of bubbly-happy as a header shot. It’s appropriate because ever since we’ve moved here, I’ve had alot more thoughts, feelings and learnings.

That means there’ll be more grandmother tales while I’m here. Haha..
