Shopping @ Bugis Street.

I know it’s easily the most popular shopping place with many young Singaporeans, but I’ve never been to Bugis Street to shop until very recently.

Our boy loves to shop there. He likes coming home with his loot and showing off how nice and cheap the stuff he bought are. I have to say I’m usually impressed.

It’s not the place to find the finest quality stuff. But it’s certainly a fun place to roam around.

Here’s my day with my lovely cousin. Check it out -

For the non-Singaporean reader, Bugis Street is a bundle of hundreds of small stores and sells all kinds of clothes, shoes, accessories, souvenirs, cellphone accessories, nail/hair services, etc. The goods are of average quality at very good prices. It’s a young person’s paradise.

  1. Hihi,

I just started following your blog, and I have to say that your pictures and insights are really awesome!

I had to comment on this post cause I loveeee I <3 Taimei! It's really yummy! My favourite drink is the Lemon Aiyu with Aloe vera, a really refreshing drink after a long day of shopping in Bugis street. And their Sour Plum Sweet Potato is really really good! Much better than the one offered by Shihlin.

Looking forward to reading about your next adventure :)

  2. Hi! Just wanted to tell you I’ve been following for some time now and you’re such an inspiration to me! :) The photos you take are a delight and it has spurred me on to do more with my own photography :)

I love this video post, it’s super adorable! More please! :D

    • Aawww.. thanks Ameline! I seldom make videos but am glad I did for this one. They didn’t allow me to take photos so I shot a video and moved around so fast, they couldn’t stop me in time. Hahaha..

  3. This is my first time reading your blog and I must say, you’re truly deserving of the BEST lifestyle blog in Singapore! Keep inspiring! ;)

  4. Hey! I was wondering, which level on Bugis street was this video taken on?

I’m gonna be visiting Singapore soon and i was wondering if here’s any specific sections there that I should look out for?
I heard people say level 1 isn’t all that great…this will be my first time there, so any advice on what to look for and avoid getting carried away?

    • Hi Sanjana, this was shot over 3 floors in several areas. It’s really not a very big place. We are usually done in about 2 hours tops.

I like the upper floors, which have nicer things but are also more expensive things.

      Have fun in Singapore!
