Spending Time With Family
I’m going to be honest. I don’t particularly like Chinese New Year.
It used to be all about ang paos (red packets), yummy food and new clothes when I was a kid. But now as an adult, it’s a ton of commitments and customary stuff to get ready for it. I’m exhausted just thinking about it.
The only thing I like about Chinese New Year is being able to see my family. And it’s lovely to have our two rascals with us at the same time.

Mom’s cooking. Our favourite watercress soup. And the kids cheekily telling us how they’ve been manipulating adults since they were kids.
I love the energy, high spirits and laughter. The good times have started again. =)

Bing,
Do you notice that there is a chip bowl at ur parent house? For chinese it’s not good especially during the festive season. Just a piece of advice.
Thanks for noticing, Elise. And for the advice! I didn’t notice it till u mentioned it. =) but we aren’t superstitious. I have too many chipped bowls in my own house coz of the rough way I wash dishes. If I replaced them, it’ll be honestly more of wanting to shop for new dining ware than coz of bad luck. =p
Happy New Year!
Cheers
Bing
