Project 365 : Joburg Tap Water

The locals in Johannesburg drink their water straight from the tap. They say it’s really clean.

But being kiasi Singaporeans, we still boil all the water we drink first. Old habits die hard.

Project 365 : Chandelier

I’ve been hanging out in a pastry shop. Although its prettiest things are its cupcakes and tarts, I spotted a lovely chandelier.

I love pretty lights.

Project 365 : Beads

A day out into the inner city of Johannesburg and stumbled upon a shop selling hundreds of types of beads. It was a madness of colours in there.

Project 365 : The Hubby And I, Divided.

We were late. By the time we arrived at a dinner party (after beating the infamous Joburg-Pretoria peak hour traffic jam), the only seats left were at the ends of the table.

The hubby and I had our dinner in this position with 20 people between us. I was amused by the irony that we could see each other so well despite the situation.

It made me realise how precious something as small as just being able to sit together is. Being able to take food for each other. Stealing food off each other’s plates. Sharing dessert. Sharing the same conversation. And knocking each other’s feet.

Yet another (small) thing I must remember to cherish.

Project 365 : Blueberry Cheesecake

I modified my blueberry cheesecake recipe tonight, and it turned out to be my best one ever. All my dinner party guests loved it! There wasn’t a morsel left on everyone’s plate.

I am thrilled to bits and can’t wait to share the recipe. Go to the updated step by step tutorial and recipe HERE.
