I don't think it's a question of whether the water is clean. Singapore has water that is so pure, it's close to distilled water. I drink it straight from the tap with no problems, but we generally still boil it first. It's a habit that started from olden days, where boiling a pot of water and filling the water flask at home for the family was considered a gesture of love. I still religiously boil water and fill it every day for my family. Even though I drink straight from the tap some times. Haha..

Completely agree with Heather ;) The water is in the Top 3 in the world apparently. The water in Jozi, Cape Town and especially Durban are of unbelievably high quality. I generally tend to prefer the tap water to many bottled varieties! But yes, habits are difficult thing to change ;)

Now this was one interesting post! Would love to explore this part of Joburg too! But I always wonder how you'd take photos of people, I find it a little scary (what if they don't like it?) when I take photos of them, which is why I always end up taking photos of non-living things.. well maybe some living things like plants.

if i may add, that brand names such as loreal is also a good heads up when choosing a good face lift eye serum. There is a reason why some are widely used, and that is because they work. You can also be rest assured that they have gone through extensive studies to come up with the total anti-aging effect it has on your eye area.

Totally agreed.
But I think it is scarier before the renovation years back.
Nevertheless still enjoy visiting the place during my childhood as it is always a family outing when going there. :)
Sure miss the good old day.

That's on my list to see as well! I'd kill for a panorama shot of Joburg as you took it, as I need a new header for my blog. Well, I guess I don't have to kill, just drag myself up to another high place. Sigh.
